Autumn Edition

Welcome to our Autumn newsletter, there is certainly a chill in the evenings now along with a dew in the mornings, the summer bedding is just about hanging on and probably needs a frost now to put it out of its misery! Winter pansies are now readily available along with polyanthus, winter heathers and spring flowering bulbs.
We certainly have had a fair amount of rain since mid August, which has transformed our lawns from a desert status to a green oasis, this however masks a series of problems including heavy moss growth and weed infestation. Now is a good time to scarify the lawn and indeed apply either a turf dressing or indeed an Autumn Lawn food. The Autumn lawn food encourages root growth and thickening of the grass, thus preventing moss taking over during the winter period.
